Step 1

Unbox your Legacy Tub and Chiller

1. Unpack the Legacy Tub and Chiller from their respective shipping cartons and remove any protective wrapping.

2. Select a stable and smooth surface with plenty of room for ventilation.

3. Make sure a water source and 110/120V AC socket that is properly grounded are accessible.

*If setting up outdoors, we recommend setting up under a sheltered/covered area to ensure the longevity of your product.

Step 2

Setting up your Legacy Tub

1. Unfold your tub in your desired location.

2. Inflate the tub using the double action air pump included, ensuring that the inflating hose is connected to the inflate side of the pump.

3. Open the inflation valve cap by rotating counterclockwise. Make sure the inflation valve pin on the tub is in an "out" position and not pushed in, or will air will be released after the inflation hose from the pump is detached.

4. Connect the inflation hose to the valve by plugging it in and giving it a quarter turn clockwise. Inflate until the gauge on the pump reaches 8 PSI. DO NOT over inflate or product damage may occur.

5. When done inflating, reconnect the inflation valve with a clockwise turn.

6. Connect the inflation hose to the tub lid and repeat steps 3-5.

Step 3

Connecting your Chiller to the Tub

1. First check that there is at least 12’’ between the chiller and the wall for proper air flow.

2.Attach 1 hose clamp to each end of each hose.

3. Screw in the two male ends of the brass fittings into the water outlet and inlet of the chiller/heater unit.

4. Attach the water hoses into the brass fittings on the chiller/heater unit. Tighten the hose clamps with a screwdriver.

5. Screw in the 2 PVC hex fittings into the female fittings on to the tub. The threads should tighten easily and smoothly. If resistance is felt, try attaching the fittings again. Hand tighten only. Over-tightening may cause leaking or damage.

6. Attach the remaining 2 brass fittings onto the PVC fittings on the tub.

7. Finally, attach the hoses to the remaining fittings and tighten. The green “Water In” fitting on the Tub should connect to the "Water Out” on the Chiller. The red “Water Out” fitting on the Tub should connect to the "Water In” filter on the Chiller.

Step 4

Filling the Tub

1. Connect the hose to the bottom inlet of the tub to prime the system. Stop when a steady flow of water is coming out of the top inlet. This should take 5-7 minutes.

2.The Tub can now be filled with water up to until the water is roughly 15 cm (6 inches) below the underside of the top ring (not more than ⅔ full). Make sure the water level is above the top inlet of the Tub. Overfilling may cause water to overflow from the Tub for some users, though you may fill to your preference.

Step 5

Powering on your Chiller

1. Plug the Chiller into a standard 110v/120v properly grounded AC socket or extension cable that is suitable for use, has a built in surge protector and preferably is IP65 rated.

2. You may now turn on the Chiller by pressing the “Power” button on the display screen. The Chiller may take up to 2-3 minutes to purge air from the system.

Step 7

Setting the Temperature

1. Press the "Set" button to enter the setting temperature menu.

2. Press the "up" key or "down" key, to adjust the desired temperature. Once the desired temperature is set, wait 2-3 seconds until the display shows the main menu, then your temperature is set. Once the chiller has finished its priming cycle it will start to chill and filter the water within a few minutes.

4. Once the desired temperature is reached, switch off the Chiller/Heater Unit before starting your cold water therapy session.

Troubleshooting

Common Problems during Initial Set Up

During initial set up, you may encounter the pump surging or struggling to circulate the water. The chiller may make a screeching or loud noise.

THIS IS COMPLETELY NORMAL.

First, please make sure the orientation of the hoses is correct. If you still encounter problems, here are some solutions:

  • Solution 1: It is necessary to fill the tub with enough water during the first use. Fill the water level inside the Ice Bath MAX higher than the height of the chiller/heater’s water inlet.
  • Solution 2: Power off the chiller/heater. Place a hose into the tub at the lower tub inlet. The head of the hose and the inlet should be ‘connected’. Turn on the hose and run the water through the tubes. Continue this process until you see bubbles air come out of the upper inlet tube into the tube. Run the hose like this for 5 minutes and retest.
  • Solution 3: Power off the chiller/heater. Rotate the filter bottle to the left, loosening it slightly by 1-2 turns, leaving a gap to release the air. After water flows into the filter bottle, the air is pushed out by the water through the gap. Tighten the filter bottle by twisting it to the right.
  • Solution 4: Turn off the unit. Remove the filter and run the unit. If the unit starts to run correctly, replace the filter and run it again.
