What is the difference between the Pro 2.0 and Standard?

1. The Pro 2.0 features a 3 step filtration process, versus the Standard's 2 step filtration.

2. The Pro 2.0 also includes a more efficient self-priming pump (can start pumping without external assistance, eg. a water hose), versus the Standard's non-self priming pump (requires external assistance sometimes)

3. The Pro 2.0 features an advanced touch screen and smartphone app to schedule and control your cold therapy routine, which the Standard does not.

How often do I need to change the water?

The water in the tub can last up to 6 months if properly maintained. We recommend using a peroxide based sanitizer each week to keep the tub clean. If you decide not to use a sanitizer, the water will last from 1-1.5 months on average, though usage rates will vary this timeline.

Do I need to run it 24/7?

We encourage you to leave it on, that way the tub is constantly cleaning, filtering, and cooling the water. It also will keep the water at your desired temperature, so it’s always ready for you.

Will this run up my electric bill?

The amount of electricity that The Legacy IB Max 2.0 uses is similar to that of a small refrigerator or AC unit. It is quite conservative and customers have reported that they have not seen a noticible increase in monthly costs.

Can I use it outdoors?

Yes. Both chiller models are IPX4 Rated Waterproof and can withstand temperatures from 23-115°F. We recommend protecting your unit with a cover to mitigate freezing risk during the winter.

What are the electrical requirements?

The Legacy Ice Bath runs on a regular 110V circuit.
